Psychologist
Laura Maynard
Dr. Maynard (formerly Dr. Dietmann) is a warm and compassionate psychologist who specializes in treating individuals experiencing anxiety, depression, perfectionism, trauma, and life transitions. She has a particular passion for working with young adults and parents who are balancing full lives while quietly struggling with stress, self-doubt, and the pressure to “hold it all together.” Dr. Maynard is certified in perinatal mental health and enjoys supporting women through pregnancy, postpartum transitions, and early motherhood. Above all, Dr. Maynard values building genuine, trusting relationships with her clients and creates a safe, supportive space where clients can slow down, reflect, and move toward meaningful personal growth.
Approach to therapy
Dr. Maynard takes an integrative, client-centered approach to therapy, tailoring treatment to each person’s unique strengths, background, and goals. She draws from relational, psychodynamic, attachment-based, and cognitive behavioral therapies to meet each client’s individual needs. Her work focuses on building insight and self-awareness, helping clients recognize how past experiences may shape current patterns, and developing healthier ways of coping with emotional overwhelm. Clients often leave therapy with a greater sense of clarity, self-compassion, and confidence in their ability to navigate life’s stressors. Whether you’re seeking support through a life transition or feeling stuck and ready for change, Dr. Maynard offers a space to feel heard, understood, and empowered.
