Justin Bwint

Dr. Bwint is a warm and genuine psychotherapist who enjoys joining clients to understand what provides their life meaning and fulfillment while also helping to overcome the challenges that prevent them from reaching their goals. In doing so, he prioritizes supportive, honest, and collaborative relationships that help clients to approach challenges in productive and safe ways. Dr. Bwint enjoys working with clients in different life stages, faiths, gender identities, sexual orientations, and other identities. In therapy, he understands and explores the role that our intersecting backgrounds hold in guiding our life experiences.

Dr. Bwint provides individual therapy for those experiencing a variety of concerns, such as PTSD, complex trauma, anxiety, depression, identity, work-life balance, grief, and role transitions. He also has specialized training in styles of therapy that emphasize the mind-body connection and he appreciates the relationship between our physical and emotional wellbeing in all of his therapeutic work. Furthermore, he has experience working with current or aspiring leaders who hope to find more success and meaning in their work and personal lives.

Approach to therapy

Dr. Bwint’s approach to psychotherapy is integrative, drawing on Cognitive Behavioral (CBT), Relational, Emotion-Focused, Narrative, and Acceptance and Commitment therapies. Given that there is no “one size fits all” treatment, he works with his clients to determine what their specific therapy needs are. Additionally, because psychotherapy often develops over time, he provides a flexible therapeutic space that shifts to meet the needs of clients as they arise. In each aspect of his therapeutic work, Dr. Bwint is collaborative, responsive, authentic, curious, and focused on providing his clients greater freedom, clarity, and satisfaction in their lives.
