Dr. Bellwoar is a warm and compassionate psychotherapist who is interested in authentically collaborating with clients to help them work towards their goals. She works with clients to bring greater awareness and acceptance to their present moment thoughts, feelings and body sensations. This awareness and increased connection facilitates exploration and processing of difficult experiences.

Dr. Bellwoar is specifically passionate about helping clients strengthen their awareness of their mind-body connection to create greater opportunities to regulate through life’s challenges and stressors. She utilizes her training in applied psychophysiology and biofeedback to inform her practice and guide individuals to re-inhabit their body and befriend their nervous systems. She works with clients to explore how their body has developed strategies to protect them against stressors, both past and present, as well as how to identify new skills that may be more adaptive and sustainable in the present moment. Dr. Bellwoar works with adults of all backgrounds and identities experiencing a variety of difficulties including anxiety, stress, burnout, adjustment, trauma, medical issues, professional transitions and development.
