About
Sarah strives to create a grounded, collaborative space where clients can reconnect with their strengths, cultivate self-compassion and confidence, and move toward a more fulfilling and meaningful life. Therapy is an opportunity to pause, explore, and repair. Sarah supports clients in exploring their inner worlds, including old wounds and patterns, inner critics, stuck thinking patterns, as well as the joyful, creative, and passionate parts. With these insights, Sarah helps clients to experiment with intentional adjustments in day-to-day life that can have big, fulfilling ripple effects.
Sarah works with clients who are experiencing stressful life transitions, anxiety, depression, trauma-related stress, and chronic pain. She believes every client is an expert in their own lived experience and welcomes clients of diverse backgrounds and identities. She also attends to sociocultural and contextual factors that interact with each client’s strengths and challenges.
Sarah views the therapeutic relationship as the foundation of therapeutic change and seeks to establish a comfortable, non-judgmental environment by practicing cultural humility and meeting clients with genuine warmth and attunement.
Approach to therapy
Sarah takes a person-centered, trauma-informed approach that incorporates the relational and skill-based aspects of healing. In addition to Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), she draws from mindfulness-based and Internal Family Systems (IFS) lenses to support clients in building awareness, increasing self-compassion, and making desired changes. Additionally, with a health psychology background, Sarah attends to the connection between emotional and physical health. She can provide evidence-based treatments for perinatal concerns, chronic pain, and insomnia.
Sarah is passionate about the restorative benefits of nature and art. In her free time, she loves backpacking, camping, and incorporating nature into artistic endeavors.
