Dr. Colb is a warm and empathic psychologist who believes in the pivotal role of human connection in mental health. She is passionate about working collaboratively with each client to create a strong and trusting therapeutic relationship that validates the client’s struggles and facilitates their healing and growth.
She attends to the various sociocultural and contextual factors that contribute to each client’s experience and identity, offering a space in which they can be freely shared and explored.
Dr. Colb has worked with clients of all ages in varied clinical settings and has experience treating a range of medical, psychological, and relational stressors. She especially enjoys working with young adults around issues including anxiety, depression, obsessive-compulsive disorder, trauma, low self-esteem, familial conflict, parenting difficulties, and relationship struggles.

Approach to therapy
Dr. Colb utilizes an integrative approach to therapy, incorporating therapeutic modalities and interventions that are tailored to each client’s individual needs. She grounds her work in relational therapy with the belief that authentic and trusting therapeutic relationships act as the foundation for therapeutic growth. By prioritizing open and honest communication in therapy, Dr. Colb and her clients are able to explore client’s struggles and sources of distress without fear of shame or judgment.
Dr. Colb draws on different therapeutic orientations and evidence-based interventions to help clients cope with distress, illuminate their own strengths, and harness insight into behavioral, emotional, and relational change. Anchored in mutual respect and trust, Dr. Colb and her clients work collaboratively to identify clients’ goals, inside and outside of therapy, and the strengths and tools that they can use to pursue them. Additionally, as a singer and lifelong music lover, Dr. Colb values the role that art and creativity can play in mental health and therapy. She welcomes the opportunity to incorporate various client interests and artistic endeavors into treatment.

Request an Appointment
Once you complete this form, we will reach out. If we have a fitting opening, we will schedule a complimentary 15-minute phone consultation to assess fit further together.
Assessment and Planning
The first 2-4 sessions involve assessing your history, symptoms, and goals. Together, you and your psychologist will establish a treatment plan and discuss next steps.
Ongoing Weekly Sessions
Sessions are typically weekly for 55 minutes at a consistent time. You and your psychologist will focus on your treatment needs and goals.
