About
Dr. Cristina Culler identifies as a Black cisgender woman, and a relational, culturally sensitive, identity-affirming, anti-oppressive, and trauma-informed therapist. She is passionate about supporting marginalized folk and often works with clients who identify as BIPOC and LGBTQIA+.
She is a welcoming, curious, and warm therapist who values collaboration, authenticity, and cultural humility. She often works with clients who are interested in discussing relationship problems, identity, life transitions, family conflict, systemic issues, stress management, academic distress, trauma, anxiety, and depression. Additionally, she is passionate about working with clients who want to build healthier relationships with themselves and those around them.
Approach to therapy
As a relational therapist, Dr. Culler aims to build genuine connections and collaborate with clients to create a space that fosters trust, authenticity, vulnerability, and growth. Additionally, she approaches therapy from a culturally sensitive, identity-affirming, anti-oppressive, and trauma-informed framework. She is committed to offering a therapeutic space where clients can show up authentically and be active participants in their healing journeys.
Dr. Culler is also dedicated to helping clients identify their treatment goals, exploring areas of concern at the client’s pace, and tailoring the treatment to the client’s needs. She also works from a multicultural framework that helps clients explore how their unique identities affect their lived experiences, sense of self, and existence within society.
Dr. Culler appreciates the opportunity to help clients explore vulnerable aspects of themselves and the invitation to walk alongside clients as they bravely confront their areas of concern.
